In 2009 I joined MESCI program in as a part of the dual-degree program MUNDUS URBANO “International Cooperation and Urban Development”, which was organized in the framework of the Erasmus Mundus scholarship scheme of European Commission. After spending my 1st year at the Architecture Department of Technical University of Darmstadt in Germany, I decided to focus my studies on development economics and international cooperation and continue my second year in the University of Tor Vergata. After completion of my studies I did an internship at the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) in Geneva, Switzerland and worked as a freelance researcher for ECORYS-UK (UK) and ICUnet.AG (Germany) dealing with the projects supported by European Union authorities.
In 2012 I’ve joined Russian country office of the World Bank as a Research Analyst, where I am involved in different projects implemented across Russian regions in the area of education and social protection. In 2013 I received a World Bank Vice-President award together with the other team members for outstanding team achievements in education sector.
I’m very grateful to Carmen Tata and the whole team of Tor Vergata and CEIS for their efforts in organizing and supporting a unique, interesting and very useful master program. The international development sector is very applied filed of studies and it’s important to focus the syllabus of the master program on the practical knowledge and avoid making it too theoretical. Especially I would like to thank Prof. Marko Zupi, Matteo Scaramella and Giovanni Vecchi for their lectures, workshops and practical advices, which gave me a basis of economic analysis, as well as of project evaluation methodologies and opened the reality of the development consultancy world.
